UPDATE: This is the showing the same route as last year.
The beginning will change to make it less hilly.
Date: February 2, 2008
Start time: 7:00 am
Starting location:
In the true spirit of randonnering, this brevet is a lightly supported ride.
The control will be staffed, and there is a mini-mart in case your needs go beyond
what will be provided. Some of these roads are remote, so make sure you can carry enough
food and water for 2 hours of riding. SAG support will be limited so make
sure to bring spare tubes and tools for light repairs you may need along the way.
The rider check-in will be open from 6:30-8:00am. You must have a helmet,
a tail light and a head light to start.
The course is mostly rolling hills, so there is not a lot of climbing, but the wind
can be a factor at this time of year.
We are always in need of volunteers to provide SAG support and to staff controls (if we
get enough volunteers). If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer, please send
an email to wgdunlap@aol.com.
